Sustainable company where wellbeing of co-workers is paramount
In order to support the objectives and strategy of Strukton Rail, it is not only important to return a fair margin on our activities but that we also appeal through our image, through what we do and more importantly, how we do it to our potential and existing clients, suppliers, shareholders and team members. Sharing what we do well is a clear example of how we give back to society. Empowering people to have a meaningful job, to do that job safely and to learn and grow in their professionalism and compassion are important drivers for society, for Strukton Rail and for ourselves as human beings. We want our employees to be able to buy in to our vision and mission relating to our authentic set of values. Rail is the most sustainable way of transport and our goal is to make it a competitive, safe and reliable option. To make rail transport even more sustainable, we have chosen to take a leading role in the energy transition by establishing a Power Division, focusing on power conversion in infrastructure and rolling stock.
Until recently, our Corporate Social Responsibility was reflected in our position on the Safety Index, on the CO2 ladder (sustainability index), our Integrity Index and in employee satisfaction. Last year we went a step further: we reached out to those needing jobs, needing purpose or needing to be valued by teaching and employing them where possible without endangering the jobs and purpose of our existing workforce (A1 Electronics).
